ACT ON THE TRANSFER OF INHERITED PROPERTY ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE STATE

 Article 1 (Transfer of Property in the Republic of Korea)
A steward of inherited property which escheats to the State pursuant to Article 1058 (1) of the Civil Act shall transfer without delay the stewardship of the inherited property to the head of the tax office having jurisdiction over the place of domicile of the ancestor.

 Article 2 (Transfer of Property outside the Republic of Korea)
If the ancestor's domicile is in the outside of the Republic of Korea in cases under Article 1, the stewardship of the inherited property shall be transferred without delay to a consul, or a person who performs consul's duties on his/her behalf.

ADDENDA
(1) This Act shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation.
(2) The cases concerning the delivery of properties attributable to national treasury, in case where the successors are nonexistent in full promulgated by the Royal Ordinance No. 409, in 1899, shall be repealed.
