ACT ON SPECIAL CASES CONCERNING MARRIAGE REGISTRATION

 Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of this Act is to prescribe special provisions regarding cases where one party or both parties to a marriage is unable to report the fact of marriage after the death of one of the parties because he/she participated in war battles or incidents or was engaged in the performance of the official public duties to be deployed in combat.

 Article 2 (Marriage Report)
Where any of the parties obliged to report marriage has died because of any cause under Article 1, the surviving party may file a marriage report independently with the confirmation of a family court.

 Article 3 (Jurisdiction of Confirmation Judgement)
Confirmation under Article 2 shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Family Court having jurisdiction over the late residence of the deceased.

 Article 4 (Effect of Report)
Where a report is filed pursuant to Article 2, the report shall be deemed to have been filed at the time of the death of any of the obligors to report the fact of marriage.

 Article 5 (Scope of Application)
Matters concerning participation in battles or public duties to be deployed in combat under Article 1 shall be prescribed by Presidential Decree.
