 Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of this Act is to support and foster scout activities for juveniles and to guide them in the right direction.

 Article 2 (Definitions)
The term "scout activities" in this Act means activities contributing to national development and furthering human friendship by cultivating a spirit of selfless service to society through training and fostering the character of juveniles, developing physical strength and learning useful skills in accordance with the scout education methods.

 Article 3 (Cooperation with International Organizations, etc.)
Scout activities shall be performed in close cooperation with the following international organizations and groups:
1. The World Organization of the Scout Movement;
2. The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts;
3. Other groups in relation to scout activities.

 Article 4 (Management of Scout Activities)
(1) Scout activities shall be performed by an entity having legal personality (hereinafter referred to as "scout management entity").
(2) A scout management entity underparagraph (1) shall represent the scout activities of the Republic of Korea at organizations prescribed in subparagraphs 1 and 2 of Article 3 on the condition that each entity shall be allowed to represent the scout activities at only one organization.

 Article 5 (Cooperation and Support)
The State and local governments may provide cooperation and support, such as offering convenience, for scout activities.

 Article 6 (Subsidies)
The State and local governments may provide subsidies to scout management entities to cover international allotments for scout activities, facility charges and operating expenses necessary for scout activities, and expenses incurred for international and domestic events recognized by the Minister of Gender Equality and Family.

 Article 7 (Projects of Scout Support Entities)
A person or an entity supporting a scout managing entity (hereinafter referred to as "scout support entity") may perform necessary profit-making projects with a consent of the Minister of Gender Equality and Family.

 Article 8 (Orders to Suspend Profit-Making Projects)
Where a scout support entity performing a profit-making project pursuant to Article 7 has used or is likely to use profits arising from such project for a purpose other than the management of a scout management entity, the Minister of Gender Equality and Family may order such scout support entity to suspend the project and take other necessary measures.

 Article 9 (Report on Projects)
A scout management entity shall provide a report on project plans, progress of projects and results of projects to the Minister of Gender Equality and Family, as determined by the Minister of Gender Equality and Family.

 Article 10 (Prohibition on Use of Similar Names, etc.)
(1) No one shall use a name capable of causing confusion with a scout management entity.
(2) Except for a constituent of a scout management entity, no one shall use a mark determined by such entity.

 Article 11 (Fines for Negligence)
(1) Any person who violates Article 10 shall be punished by a fine not exceeding two million won.
(2) Fines for negligence prescribed in paragraph (1) shall be imposed and collected by the Minister of Gender Equality and Family.

ADDENDA
(1) (Enforcement Date) This Act shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation.
(2) (Transitional Measures) The Boy Scouts of Korea, an incorporated association, and the Girl Scouts of Korea, an incorporated association, existing as at the time this Act enters into force shall be deemed scout management entities as prescribed in Article 4.

Article 1 (Enforcement Date)
This Act shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation: Provided, That the amended provisions of Articles 29 (1), 35-2 and 35-3, title of Article 37, Article 37 (1) through (3) and (5), Article 37-2 and Articles 3 through 5 of this Addenda shall enter into force on the date Presidential Decree on such entities enters into force.

Article 1 (Enforcement Date)
This Act shall enter into force on the date Presidential Decree concerning the organization of Youth Commission enters into force within three months after this Act is promulgated.
