| Article 2 (Standards for Remuneration) |
Prosecutors shall be entitled to receive salary and other remuneration pursuant to the Prosecutor Salary Schedule as set forth in attached Table 1: Provided, That where the salary and other remuneration of prosecutors are to be adjusted following the adjustment of public officials' remuneration, they may be determined by Presidential Decree until this Act is amended, based on the Standard Salary Schedule for Prosecutors as set forth in attached Table 2.

| Article 3 (Methods of Payment) |
| (1) | Salary and other remuneration shall be paid on the 20th day of each month: Provided, That if a payday falls on a holiday, they shall be paid on the previous day. |
| (2) | The period of payment of salary and other remuneration shall be counted from the announcement date of appointment, irrespective of appointment to position, transfer, change of position, promotion, salary cut or any other reasons. |

| Article 4 (Enforcement Decree) |
The standards for the promotion of prosecutors and other necessary matters regarding the enforcement of this Act shall be prescribed by Presidential Decree.

This Act shall apply from March 1, 1962.

This Act shall apply from January 1, 1966.
ADDENDA <Act No. 1925, Mar. 30, 1967>
| (1) | (Enforcement Date) This Act shall enter into force on April 1, 1967. |
| (2) | (Exclusion from Allowances) No continuous service allowance shall be granted to the chief prosecutors of district prosecutors' offices, prosecutors of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office and the deputy chief prosecutors of high prosecutors' offices. |

| (1) | (Enforcement Date) This Act shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation, but apply from January 1, 2004. |
| (2) | (Transitional Measures) As at the time this Act enters into force, if the amount of prosecutors' salary to be paid under the amended provisions of attached Tables 1 and 2 is less than the previous amount of salary, the previous amount of salary shall be paid until it meets at least the previous amount of salary. |
