CHAPTER 1 GENERAL PROVISIONS
 Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Rules is to prescribe matters delegated by the Regulations on Procedures for Allocating Registration Numbers for Real Estate Registration of Unincorporated Associations and Foundations and Foreigners and other matters necessary for the implementation thereof.

CHAPTER 2 PROCEDURES FOR ALLOCATING REGISTRATION NUMBERS TO UNINCORPORATED ASSOCIATIONS OR FOUNDATIONS
 Article 2 (System for Composing Registration Numbers)
Each number for real estate registration of unincorporated associations and foundations (hereinafter referred to as a "registration number") under Article 4 of the Regulations on Procedures for allocating Registration Numbers for Real Estate Registration of Unincorporated Associations and Foundations and Foreigners (hereinafter referred to as the "Decree") and Attached Table 1 of the Decree shall, be allocated according to the following divisions: <Amended by Ordinance of the Ministry of Justice No. 814, Mar. 5, 2014>
1. Unique identifier numbers for family names and their places of origin shall be allocated in accordance with Attached Table 1;
2. District numbers shall be allocated in accordance with the registration numbers of Sis/ (referring to a Gu in a Si in which Gus are established; hereinafter the same shall apply) Guns designated and publicly notified by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport pursuant to subparagraph 1 of Article 49 (1) of the Registration of Real Estate Act;
3. Religion classification shall be allocated in accordance with Attached Table 2;
4. Serial numbers shall be allocated by each Si/Gun, sequentially in the same order of allocating registration numbers by subclassification of subject-matter of registration (referring to the subclassification into family clans, religious organizations or other organizations; hereinafter the same shall apply);
5. Numbers for searching errors shall be allocated in accordance with Attached Table 3.

 Article 3 (Written Application for Allocation of Registration Number)
A written application for allocation of a registration number under Article 5 of the Decree shall be filed in Attached Form 1.

 Article 4 (Verification of Applications for Allocation of Registration Number)
The head of a Si (referring to a Gu in cases of a Si in which Gus are established) /Gun in receipt of an application for allocating a registration number pursuant to Article 5 of the Decree shall verify the following matters pursuant to Article 7 (3) of the Decree: <Amended by Ordinance of the Ministry of Justice No. 814, Mar. 5, 2014>
1. Whether the applicant is an already-registered unincorporated association or foundation;
2. Whether the procedures complies with the procedures for allocating registration numbers under Article 49 of the Registration of Real Estate Act;
3. Whether the matters stated in the application match the attached documents.

 Article 5 (Application for modification of File of Registration Numbers)
An application for modification of the file of registration numbers under Article 7-2 (1) of the Decree shall be filed in Attached Form 2, but attached by documents proving the modified matter.

 Article 6 (Written Applications for Issuance of Registration Certificate and Registration Certificate)
A written application for issuance of a registration certificate and a registration certificate under Article 8 of the Decree, shall be filed in Attached Form 3 and Attached Form 4, respectively.

 Article 7 (Fees)
The expression "fee determined by Joint Ordinance of Ministries" in Article 10 (1) of the Decree refers to 1,000 won: Provided, That the fee shall be exempted for applications for the issuance of a registration certificate filed through an electronic window for civil petitions under Article 9 (2) and (3) of the Electronic Government.

CHAPTER 3 ALLOCATION PROCEDURES FOR REGISTRATION NUMBERS
 Article 8 (Registration Numbers for Registered Foreigners)
The head of an immigration control office or the head of a branch office thereof shall allocate a person registered as a foreigner a registration number according to the foreigner registration number under Article 31 (4) of the Immigration Control Act.

 Article 9 (Written Applications for Allocation of Registration Number)
A Written application for allocation of a registration number under Article 13 of the Decree shall be filed in the Attached Form 5.

 Article 10 (Registration Ledgers and Registration Certificates)
(1) Registration ledger under Article 14 (2) of the Decree shall be made in Attached Form 6.
(2) The phrase "registration certificate determined by joint Ordinance of Ministers" in Article 14 (3) of the Decree refers to Attached Form 7.

 Article 11 (Written Application of Issuance of Registration Certificate)
A Written application for a registration certificate under Article 15 of the Decree shall be filed in the Attached Form 9.

 Article 12 (Registration Certificate)
(1) The phrase "registration certificate determined by joint Ordinance of Ministers" in Article 15 (4) of the Decree refers to Attached Form 7.
(2) The head of each immigration control office or the head of a branch office thereof shall, in cases of issuing a registration certificate, record the fact in the issuance ledger under the Attached Form 8 in the order of issuance thereof.

 Article 13 (Fees)
The phrase "fee determined by Joint Ordinance of Ministries" in Article 16 of the Decree refers to 1,000 won.

ADDENDA
(1) (Enforcement Date) These Rules shall enter into force on March 1, 1978.
(2) (Preparation for Allocating Registration Numbers to Unincorporated Associations or Foundations) The head of a Si/Gun may make preparations for allocating a registration number to an unincorporated association or an unincorporated foundation, which has possessed any real estate before these Rules enter into force.

(1) (Enforcement Date) These Rules shall enter into force on the date of their promulgation.
(2) (Transitional Measures concerning Forms) Forms prepared and used pursuant to the previous provisions in force as at the time these Rules enter into force shall continue to be used, but the provisions thereof amended pursuant to these Rules shall apply to the use of such forms.
