 Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of this Act is to provide for matters delegated by the Act on the Regulation of Amusement Business Affecting Public Morals and matters necessary for the enforcement thereof.

 Article 2 (Scope of Amusement Business Affecting Public Morals)
The scope of amusement businesses affecting the public morals referred to in subparagraphs 5 and 7 of Article 2 of the Act on the Regulation of Amusement Business Affecting Public Morals (hereinafter referred to as the "Act") shall be as follows: <Amended by Presidential Decree No. 24102, Sep. 14, 2012; Presidential Decree No. 25337, Apr. 29, 2014>
1. "Businesses determined by Presidential Decree among the businesses providing food services" in subparagraph 5 of Article 2 of the Act means karaoke bar business provided in subparagraph 8 (c) of Article 21 of the Enforcement Decree of the Food Sanitation Act and entertainment bar business provided in item (d) of the same subparagraph;
2. "Other businesses prescribed by Presidential Decree as offensive to the good public morals or harmful to the sound upbringing of juveniles" in subparagraph 7 of Article 2 of the Act means business carried on at establishments banned from access by or employing juveniles referred to in subparagraph 5 (a) (viii) or (ix) of Article 2 of the Juvenile Protection Act.

 Article 3 (Scope of Persons Engaged in Amusement Business Affecting Public Morals)
"Persons engaging in such business prescribed by Presidential Decree" in the main body of Article 3, Articles 6 (1) and 9 (1) of the Act means agents, workers or other employees (including instructors and assistant instructors in cases of a dance institute business) who, regardless of their titles, act for operators or do full-time or part-time work, under the direction of operators.

 Article 7 (Notification of Amusement Business Affecting Public Morals)
(1) Where a person who has granted permission to an amusement business affecting the public morals pursuant to Article 4 (1) of the Act (including a person who has granted authorization or received registration or reporting; hereinafter referred to as "permission-granting agency") notifies the superintendent of a police station of such permission (including authorization, registration and reporting), he/she shall give notice in attached Form 1. In such cases, if the place of the relevant amusement business affecting the public morals is located within an educational environment protection zone referred to in Article 8 of the Educational Environment Protection Act, he/she shall indicate such information when giving notice. <Amended by Presidential Decree No. 27830, Feb. 3, 2017>
(2) "Where any ground prescribed by Presidential Decree arises" in Article (2) of the Act means where any of the following dispositions is taken, and if such ground arises pursuant to Article 4 (2) of the Act, the relevant permission-granting agency shall immediately inform the superintendent of a police station thereof by filling in attached Form 2:
1. Revocation of permission or order to close a place of business;
2. Suspension of business;
3. An order to improve facilities.

 Article 8 (Notification of Offenses)
The notification of offenses under Article 6 (1) of the Act shall be made in attached Form 3 and the notification of the results of taking administrative dispositions, such as revocation of permission, suspension of business and an order to improve facilities under Article 6 (2) of the Act shall be made in attached Form 4.

 Article 9 (Use of Information and Communications Network)
The notification referred to in Articles 7 and 8 may be made through an electronic information system.

 Article 10 (Processing of Personally Identifiable Information)
If it is inevitable for carrying out business affairs, such as notification of amusement businesses affecting the public morals referred to in Article 4 of the Act and notification of offenses referred to in Article 6 of the Act, the superintendent of each police station or a permission-granting agency may process data containing resident registration numbers referred to in subparagraph 1 of Article 19 of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act.

 Article 11 (Re-Examination of Regulation)
The Commissioner of the National Police Agency shall examine the appropriateness of the scope of amusement businesses affecting the public morals under Article 2 every three years from January 1, 2017 (referring to the period that ends on the day before January 1 every third year) and shall take measures, such as making improvements.

ADDENDA
(1) (Enforcement Date) This Decree shall enter into force on June 9, 1991.
(2) (Transitional Measures concerning Facilities Criteria for Small Theater Business) A person who has been operating a small theater business defined in subparagraph 3 of Article 2 as at the time this Decree enters into force shall have facilities conforming to the facilities criteria provided in Article 8 (2) within one year after this Decree enters into force.

(1) (Enforcement Date) This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation
(2) (Transitional Measures on Report and Facilities Criteria for Song Practice Place Business) A person who has been running a song practice place business defined in subparagraph 5 of Article 2 as at the time this Decree enters into force shall report to the superintendent of the competent police station within one month after the date of enforcement of this Decree and shall have facilities conforming to the facilities criteria provided in Article 8 (2) within three months after this Decree enters into force.

ADDENDA <Presidential Decree No. 16435, Jun. 30, 1999>
(1) (Enforcement Date) This Decree shall enter into force on July 1, 1999: Provided, That the amended provisions of subparagraph 2 of Article 2 shall enter into force on August 9, 1999.
(2) (Transitional Measures concerning Private Dance School Businesses and Dance Hall Businesses) Notwithstanding the amended provisions of subparagraph 4 of Article 2, the Minister of Culture and Tourism may take necessary action under the previous provisions to restrict on matters to be observed by operators and the standards of operation of dance school business and dance hall business under the provisions of Article 2 (3) of the Addenda of the amended Act on the Regulation of Amusement Business Affecting Public Morals, Act No. 5942, until an Act and its Enforcement Decree on Installation and Utilization Sports Facilities Act are enacted otherwise.
