The purpose of this Decree is to prescribe matters mandated by the Act on Family Rites Establishment and Related Assistance.
Article 2 (Methods of commissioning honorary family rite advisors) |
(1) | Honorary family rite advisors under Article 8 of the Act on Family Rites Establishment and Related Assistance (hereinafter referred to as "honorary advisors") shall be commissioned from among the following persons: |
1. | Persons with extensive knowledge of and experience in family rites; |
2. | Persons recommended by the heads of consumer organizations, civic groups, etc. related to family rites. |
(2) | The duties of honorary advisors shall be as follows: <Amended on Mar. 15, 2010; May 1, 2012> |
1. | Providing guidance, enlightenment, and public relations regarding family rites; |
3. | Handling other matters requested by the Special Metropolitan City Mayor, a Metropolitan City Mayor, a Do Governor, a Special Self-Governing Province Governor (hereinafter referred to as "Mayor/Do Governor"), and the head of a Si/Gun/Gu (referring to the head of an autonomous Gu; hereinafter the same shall apply). |
(3) | If an honorary advisor commissioned pursuant to paragraph (1) becomes unable to perform his or her duties due to a disease, injury, or other reasons, the Mayor/Do Governor and the head of a Si/Gun/Gu shall dismiss him or her. <Amended on Mar. 15, 2010; May 1, 2012> |
(4) | Details regarding the operation of honorary advisors shall be prescribed by ordinance of the relevant local government. <Amended on Mar. 15, 2010; May. 1, 2012> |

This Decree shall enter into force on September 29, 2008.

Article 1 (Enforcement Date)
This Decree shall enter into force on March 19, 2010.

This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation.
