| Article 3 (Period of existence of Committee) |
The Presidential Transition Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee") shall be established after the President's election is finalized and shall continue to exist until the time determined by the President whose term of office commences, within the period prescribed in Article 6 (2) of the Act.
| Article 4 (Subcommittees) |
| (1) | The Committee may establish subcommittees comprised of members to divide the business affairs of the Committee by each specialized field. |
| (2) | The Committee may establish an advisory committee, if necessary, to seek advice on specialized matters. |
| (3) | In order to efficiently perform its business affairs, the Committee may have subordinate organizations, such as offices and teams, and a spokesperson. |
| (4) | The chairperson shall appoint the spokesperson, members of the advisory committee, expert advisors, and clerical workers. In such cases, the spokesperson shall be appointed from among the members. |
| Article 5 (Duties of chairperson) |
| (1) | The chairperson shall report the matters handled by the Committee to the President-elect from time to time and receive necessary instructions. |
| (2) | In addition to participating in meetings of the Committee, members shall direct and supervise the business affairs of the offices, teams, etc. under the jurisdiction of the chairperson in accordance with the orders of the chairperson. |
| (3) | Expert advisors shall assist the chairperson, vice-chairperson, and members, and perform their business affairs in affiliation with the competent subcommittees, offices, teams, etc. |
| Article 6 (Meetings of Committee) |
| (1) | Meetings of the Committee shall be convened when deemed necessary by the chairperson. |
| (2) | Meetings of the Committee shall be presided over by the chairperson, and resolutions shall be passed with the concurrent vote of a majority of all incumbent members. |
| (3) | The chairperson may hold a meeting in private, if necessary for the efficient operation of the Committee. |
| Article 7 (Designation of persons in charge of business affairs) |
The head of the relevant administrative agency shall designate a person in charge and have him or her consult with the Committee to assist the President-elect in understanding his or her business affairs.
| Article 8 (Budget support) |
| (1) | The Minister of the Interior and Safety shall calculate the expenses necessary for the honorable treatment of the President-elect and the budget necessary for the establishment and operation of the Committee, and shall request the Minister of Economy and Finance to cooperate with the reserve fund, etc. in consultation with the person designated by the President-elect. <Amended on Feb. 29, 2008; Mar. 23, 2013; Nov. 19, 2014; Jul. 26, 2017> |
| (2) | The Minister of the Interior and Safety shall provide necessary support, such as offices, equipment, communications services, and vehicles, so that the Committee can efficiently perform its business affairs. <Amended on Feb. 29, 2008; Mar. 23, 2013; Nov. 19, 2014; Jul. 26, 2017> |
| (3) | The budget under paragraph (1), the support under paragraph (2), and the scale of employees dispatched to the Committee pursuant to Article 9 (2) of the Act shall be determined in consideration of the purpose of the activities of the Committee, precedents of support, etc. |
| (4) | The Committee shall endeavor to efficiently utilize the budget and human resources. |
Allowances, travel expenses, and other necessary expenses may be paid to the chairperson, vice-chairperson, members of the Committee, members of the advisory committee, expert advisors, clerical workers, etc. of the Committee within the budget.
| Article 10 (Publication of white paper) |
A white paper published by the Committee pursuant to Article 16 of the Act shall include the names and positions of members and employees of the Committee, details of budget use, details of major activities, suggestions, etc.
| Article 11 (Detailed operating rules) |
Except as provided in this Decree, matters necessary for the operation of the Committee shall be determined by the chairperson with the approval of the President-elect following a resolution by the Committee.

| (1) | (Enforcement date) This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation. |
| (2) | (Repeal of other statutes or regulations) The Ordinance on the Establishment of the Presidential Transition Committee is hereby repealed. |

Article 1 (Enforcement date)
This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation. (Proviso Omitted.)
ADDENDA <Presidential Decree No. 24425, Mar. 23, 2013>
Article 1 (Enforcement date)
This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation; provided, of those Presidential Decrees amended pursuant to Article 6 of the Addenda, the amendments to the Presidential Decree which have been promulgated before this Decree enters into force but the enforcement date of which has yet to arrive, shall enter into force on the date the relevant Presidential Decree enters into force, respectively.
ADDENDA <Presidential Decree No. 25751, Nov. 19, 2014>
Article 1 (Enforcement date)
This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation; provided, the amendments to any Presidential Decree promulgated before this Decree enters into force, but the date on which it enters into force has not yet arrived, among Presidential Decrees revised pursuant to Article 5 of the Addenda, shall enter into force on the date that Presidential Decree enters into force.
ADDENDA <Presidential Decree No. 28211, Jul. 26, 2017>
Article 1 (Enforcement date)
This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its promulgation; provided, if any Presidential Decree amended by Article 8 of this Addenda has been promulgated but is yet to enter into force by the time this Decree enters into force, the amendments to such Presidential Decree shall enter into force on the enforcement date of such relevant Presidential Decree.
