CHAPTER IV RESOLUTION OF INSOLVENT FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

 Article 36-7 (Period of business operations of financial company authorized to perform resolution)
(1) The period of business operations of a financial company authorized to perform resolution shall be within 5 years; provided, it may extend the period of business operations with the approval of the Financial Services Commission.
(2) In cases of the expiration of the period of business operations of a financial company authorized to perform resolution, the merger, or transfer or takeover of business between a financial company authorized to perform resolution and an insured financial company, or the acquisition of a financial company authorized to perform resolution by a third party, the Corporation shall dissolve a financial company authorized to perform resolution after obtaining approval from the Financial Services Commission.
(3) Where the Corporation deems that the continued business operation of a financial company authorized to perform resolution is likely to harm the interests of depositors, etc., it may dissolve such financial company authorized to perform resolution after obtaining approval from the Financial Services Commission.
