| Article 270 (Abortion by Doctor, etc., Abortion without Consent) |
| (1) | A doctor, herb doctor, midwife, pharmacist, or druggist who procures the miscarriage of a female upon her request or with her consent, shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than two years. <Amended by Act No. 5057, Dec. 29, 1995> |
| (2) | A person who procures the miscarriage of a female without request or consent, shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than three years. |
| (3) | When, in consequence of his commission of the crime as referred to in paragraph (1) or (2), the female is injured, he shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than five years. When she dies, he shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than ten years. <Amended by Act No. 5057, Dec. 29, 1995> |
| (4) | In the case of the preceding three paragraphs, suspension of qualifications for not more than seven years shall be concurrently imposed. |
